Hi to all our cottage friends!

There has always been something very special about the LJYC.  While watching the kids rushing in and out and general hustle and bustle of city life, I think back to the many wonderful times we shared this summer with great warmth.  There certainly is no place like it!

This summer had so many wonderful moments, great memories and accomplishments.  Thank you to ALL those that made this happen including the many members that welcomed our sailors and their families into their cottages, organized social events and donated their almost limitless energy and ideas to make all of this happen.  Special congratulations to the award-winning sailors who won one of the many LJYC trophies presented at the A.G.M. in August.  For a complete list of our winners, please click here. 

I would also like to thank our outgoing board members; Cara Finley (Boats and Site), Cathy Larson (Membership) and Susan Brooks (Member at Large) for their many years of hard work and dedication.  As well, a warm welcome to our new members, Alison Massara & Chris Money-Miller (Social), Shelley O’Connor & Charlie Dalton (Race Directors) and Janis Benson (Sailing School). 

And what would we do without our returning members? THANK-YOU for coming back!  So, here’s our board for this year….

We have already had two extremely productive board meetings as we plan for another fantastic summer in 2007.  With great instructors, best of the old programs returning and new ideas developing, well-rounded fleet of sailboats and truly outstanding board of directors, I am very confident that this summer will be our best one ever.
