We have positions opening up this year and need some chairs to be filled — please come and join us if you have some interest in serving on this committee.  Morag Fitzgerald would be pleased to discuss positions and commitments with anyone interested (705-375-3044)

FOR SALE2000 Boston Whaler, 13" Sport, with seat cushions, compass, extra gas tank, and trailer. It was upgraded to a 40 hp Mercury 4-Stroke engine in 2002 and has been regularly serviced, stored inside in the winter. Price is $11,900. 416-473-9191

Adult Sailing Program

What a huge success this was, and thoroughly enjoyed by all who participated!

Thank you to all the instruction staff, and particularly Leo for coordinating this fun and informative course.  Some of us can sail with our kids now, and will be doing so at this weekend’s race!!

We are going to make this an annual course, and hope to see more members trying it out next year!!

COFFEE

Elizabeth Boswell is hosting coffee this Wednesday.  No RSVP necessary.  Just bring a breakfast treat and join us at 10:00am for coffee!!

We are up to 56 auction items to contribute!!  That means only 44 to go ...

If you have items that need to be dropped off at the CNIB, they have asked that we NOT bring them directly to the camp.  If you would like to meet Carolyn Gagnon at sailing any Monday morning at or around 9:30am, she would be happy to take your item and group it with all the others to be delivered to the CNIB at a time suitable to their schedule.

Kids Social Report

Thank you Susan Brooks for hosting the second kids’ social.  The kids had a blast!!!

CRAFTS

Thank you Winnie Clokie and Heidi Watters for hosting crafts these last couple of Tuesdays. 

This week we are crafting at the Wright’s (705-732-2362).  They are just around the top of McArdiff Point on the northeast side. 

NEW—We have a host for crafts on August 1—Kim Duffy (the log home on the north shore across from Round Island).

HALLOWEEN UPDATE

Thank you to the Campbell family for organzing such an enjoyable Halloween adventure.  Despite the unbelievable winds and choppy water the boats had to suffer through, the kids collected lots of candy and had a great time learning where more members’ cottages are. 

Thank you as well to all the people who generously offered their docks as stops, and the parents and chauffeurs who drove the smaller kids around the lake.
